Food photography for new restaurants is one of the highlights of being a professional food photographer.
A new restaurant, especially in London where there’s a new cafe/pop-up/food van on every corner, must have something unusual and exciting to ‘bring to the table’ and it is always a pleasure working with the team that breathes life into these new concepts. With their fresh ideas and innovative ways of working they definitely keep us on our toes!
Back in the summer of 2016 we started working with newly opened, botanical-inspired restaurant Flora Indica which describes itself as “a celebration of Indian culture, flavours & hospitality”. Their menu stands out when compared with traditional Indian restaurant offerings across London and appeals to those looking for something unique or unheard of in the world of food.
Over a couple of days we were able to provide food photography as well as interior and portrait photography, setting them up with a good collection of marketing material for the grand opening. We like to think we did a good job as the relationship blossomed and we have just finished shooting their brand new and exotic menu for 2017.
The new menu really pushes the boundaries when it comes to culinary combinations and because of this we felt it was important to capture the thought and creativity that had gone into each dish.
We worked alongside the talented team at Flora Indica and produced a number of bright, colourful and attention grabbing images that they were delighted with. Take a look at the final result…
